Weston Subedge is a village situated close to Chipping Campden and Broadway. Nearby is Dovers Hill, a natural limestone amphitheatre, which is the venue for Robert Dovers annual 'Olimpick' Games.
Lychgate Cottage provides an ideal base for touring Cotswold sights, picturesque villages, grand country houses, some notable gardens and wildlife parks. Horse riding and cycle hire are available nearby. The cotswold stone cottage complete with old bell tower, was originally part of the village school and is situated opposite the Thirteenth Century church of St Lawrence.
Cottage Description
A large front door opens into a spacious hall containing a cloakroom, WC and hand basin. The dining room with radio, CD and tape player, leads through to a comfortable sitting room with colour TV, DVD, video, and gas coal-effect cast-iron stove for chilly evenings. The spacious fitted kitchen/ breakfast room is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, gas hob & electric oven, and the separate utility room contains a sink unit and, washing machine, tumble drier, ironing equipment and freezer, also a door to the rear garden.
Upstairs, the main double bedroom has exposed beams and roof trusses. The two twin bedded rooms are both comfortably furnished. The bathroom is fitted with an over-bath thermostatic shower, a wash hand basin and a WC. At the rear of the cottage there is an enclosed garden with garden furniture and beyond this is the Village green with a children's play area.
